If I deposit any insulating layer on top of perovskite layer in perovskite solar cell devices, which experiments can help me to find out the chemical bonds in between the perovskite and the insulating layer? Few literatures suggest XPS. What else can i use?
The chemical bonds between the perovskite and the insulating layer may be studied using XPS, which is a more powerful technique.

Of course, XPS is a very good technique for this purpose. Otherwise indirect methods can be approached like study of lattice vibrations via FTIR and Raman spectra. Electrical characterizations like current-voltage (DC) and impedance spectroscopy (AC) may give you useful information to understand if their is any barrier at the interface, and the associated transport properties. Possibility of band bending can be investigated from UPS or first principles studies. Regards.
Tamanna Mariam I guess you can use FTIR, Raman and NMR to corroborate your XPS results.
