I used to have endnote and if was easier but expensive. As I have only access to Mendeley I would like the et al of my bibliography in word to be italicised automatically.
ok, not the best way but good quick solution to italicise ALL the "et a"l in word

I don't have an idea about how to do that in mendeley. However, in microsoft words, highlight just one et al in your work, press control F, click REPLACE ALL and type et al in the box REPLACE WITH, highlight the et al, press CONTROL I and click OK. All the et als in your work would be in italics. I hope this would solve the problem.
To put any term in talics use before and after the term to italicize.
Notice: do it after you complete editing the details tab of your document otherwise, those italics won't be displayed
Do you know how to italize the species name's on the article? I want to do it automatically in the references section, but could not find a way
