Hello all,

I'm running a Bone Remodeling simulation in ABAQUS in which I just use basic ABAQUS Static simulations in every loop with an amplitude table to model the loading behavior & after every fatigue load-step (i.e., one iteration or one ABAQUS simulation), I update the material properties based on the Strain Energy values generated by the simulation. So, basically, it is one ABAQUS simulation per iteration and then the material properties are updated accordingly, and a new .inp file is written for the next iteration/load-step

Now, sometimes, in the middle, lets say after 1000 load-steps, ABAQUS starts writing .odb_f file as well as an .odb file, and when I tried opening them in ABAQUS GUI, I don't see any results at all. However, if I take the .inp file corresponding to that load-step, import into ABAQUS GUI and run the simulation, I see that the simulation is converging. So, basically nothing seems to be wrong with the .inp file as such.

Anyone has any experience with this .odb_f file in ABAQUS? Why is it written?

Thanks in advance! :)
