http://cshperspectives.cshlp.org/site/misc/mitochondria.xhtml here you will find the special issue of Cold Spring Harbor Perspectives about Mitochondria. There is a review about mitochondria dynamics also available there. I think this is most up to date and general. There is also a good general review paper from Nature Reviews but it is from 2010 therefore not really up to date.
3-Nitropropionic acid induces autophagy by forming mitochondrial permeability transition pores rather than activating the mitochondrial fission pathway.

Thank you everyone for your help! Lost of good links which led me to a further question: how is the mitochondrial network reorganized during the cell cycle? During cell cycle arrest and mitosis? In healthy and cancer cells? How does the cytoskeletal machinery responds? Sorry for the many questions, just curious about how fission/fusion is linked with the cell cycle and transportation of mitochondria. Thanx in advance!
A review that addresses the role of actin filaments in mitochondrial plasticity:

The connection of mitochondria to actin filaments is important for targeting them to specific locations in the cell and also for the controlled division of these organelles.
