I read about Tubb's point which is described as Emergency access to the brain ventricular system if intracranial pressure is raised enough to cause herniation. it was performed via a spinal needle.but still i don't know how it could be safe to access without damaging vessels that even can create a new complication.

I have not seen anyone perform this technique in Germany during the last 10 years. Nowadays almost only Kocher's Point is used to access the ventricle and since we have many different drill techniques from manual to twist drill or even electric drills for bed side EVD, access is fast and easy.
