Recently, the Philippines was hit by the Super Typhoon Haiyan. It claimed the lives of so many people and it is estimated to have tolled more than 10,000 lives. 4 days before landfall, the country was already aware about strength of the super typhoon, but the country cannot do anything to bring down its strength before landfall. Can you advise theoretical ways to bring down of the force of typhoons before landfall? Mathematical and physical basis are highly appreciated.

Thank you Amir. From your perspective, what I perceive is that it is better to put efforts on the preventive actions to ensure that the effects of the super typhoon is minimal and that current actions related to the weakening of typhoons are not yet well-established.
