There are many markers for ferroptosis as listed in the link below:

And different literature probes different set of biomarkers. Some markers (NRF2, FTH1, ACSL4, SLC7A11, etc.) were examined in some literatures while they were not in others. I would like to detect ferroptosis efficiently because budgets are limited for primary antibodies for detection of ferroptosis using Western blot. Guys, is there any suggestion on narrowing the to-blot list? I guess it needs taking into consideration what ferroptotic sub-pathway my research subject is involved. Maybe some preliminary experiments such as RNA-seq can help me out to determine the sets of markers I will be blotting?

The 3F3-FMA and TfR1 H68.4 antibodies are selective and effective to detect ferroptosis using Western Blot, I would suggest to take TfR1 or TfR1 H68.4 as a selective biomarker for the detection of ferroptosis using western blot.

Several genes and proteins are generally upregulated in response to ferroptosis.
This however can be varied from different cells. Common genes are CHAC1, DDIT4, ASNS, PCK2 and SESN2. In many cases also upregulated at the protein levels. You can look at : Fig. 4A DOI: 10.7554/eLife.02523

But as stated in Author Response of the paper, "this (in vivo analysis of the efficacy of CHAC1 as a PD marker) is a major undertaking that is beyond the scope of what can be accomplished." While some of those upregulated genes, e.g. SLC7A11, can be observed in other papers to be tested for ferroptosis, most of them may be far from becoming reliable to be a biomarker.
In addition, in the research group's later work (DOI: 10.1016/j.celrep.2020.02.049) states that "detecting ferroptosis using antibodies against the proteins encoded by these genes (PTGS2 and CHAC1) has proved challenging; moreover, CHAC1 mRNA is primarily upregulated by system xc− inhibitors, but not by other ferroptosis inducers". I'm afraid negative results may be run into.
Unfortunately，there is no specific marker thus far as ferroptosis is a mixture metabolisms of cell death including metal and lipids (potentially, some others are there). What you can do at this moment is try to reverse your cell death by using cell death inhibitors Fer-1 and DFO.
Many "markers" are emerging now since the whole genomic screening has been widely used.
SlC7A11 is not a proper marker due to the unstable feature endogenously. Stresses including oxygen, bacteria as well as amino acid starvation will alter SLC7A11 protein level.
