I am trying to prepare the sio2 nanoparticles film. I have used the SiO2 from Usnano in water and PEG from sigma aldrich. Mixed them and stirr them 24 hrs to prepare the paste. Spin coat this paste on cleaned cover slip. Annealed @ 200 C 15 min, @ 500 C 45 min.
I got the sio2 flim on the coverslips. But the sio2 film came off very easily and does not want to stick to coverslip. The sio2 films looks like the thin flakes with cracks.
Please give us some suggestions on preparing sio2 thin film with 10-20 um thickness.
