Did you check in the websites of IAEA, NRC canada, NIST etc? They all have several soil reference materials.

Not sure what a CRM is....but trace level metal analysis is typically done using ICP-MS (Inductively Coupled Plasma - Mass Spectrometry).  You will need an extraction procedure for sample prep.  You can look up ISO and USEPA methods online.  For USEPA, it might be the 6010 series of methods.  If you are in Dubai, you can call up the Al Futtaim Exova commercial labs.  They run an ISO series ICP-MS method after an aqua regia extraction.  The MS provides added confirmation of the element - you might be able to get by with just ICP-OES.  Good luck!

Use Sigmaaldrich CRM033. it is good if you are using EPA 3050  hotblock or 3051 microwave

Did you use it yourself? Again I need a beach sand sample (Dubai) to investigate vanadium presence.

Sigma aldrich did not mention details about the exact nature of the sand CRM.

Regarding the 033 yes we used it plus we used Till 1,2,3,4 for HM studies.  Also I would like to mention as long as you are going to use heavy metals protocol digestion such as EPA 3051 microwave digestion, then it will be OK.

Sandy samples will contain high amount of silica and you will not face any interference by using any sand CRM material with 3051because you are going to use HCl and HNO3, no HF

I was in the process of ordering the soil CRM. But no where they mention in Sigma aldrich that this is a beach sand CRM.

Was yours (The one you used on HM) a beach sand CRM or simply a sand CRM?
