Heuristically political debates are pointless because policy is ultimately deduced from tradition(survival heuristics that led previous generations to survive and reproduce into the current populations), risk analysis(humans analyze risks because they act on incomplete knowledge) and skin in the game(consequences direct enough to influence the actor‘s decision and eliminate stated individual if the choice is not optimal enough).
