Hello, I am currently working on the reduction of oximes to their corresponding amines. I tried to reduce them with zn / AcOH, but I could not get the amine, any advice?
Try this method with NaBH4:

You could perform the reduction with H2 Pd/C for this purpose.

Dear Ricardo Yee, here is a rather simple synthetic protocol for the reaction of vanillin oxime to vanillylamine. It also uses sodium borohydride, NaBH4, but it can be carried out under solvent-free conditions using an easily prepared ZrCl4/Al2O3 catalyst. Good luck!
