I need from the co-author to provide a SIMULINK dynamic model of a "1.5 HP centrifugal pump combined with a pressurized air vessel and a valve on the discharge" ?
The model should be ready for coupling with a dynamic model of an electric motor, the motor should see the pump as a variable load torque on its shaft and it will supply the pump with rotational speed.
The model should properly simulate the pump continuously and seamlessly in the following cases:
a) when the valve is suddenly closed.
b) when the valve is suddenly opened.
c) when the pump is dry running.

Have you got data/measurements for the system behaviour in the various regimes (a-c), upon which to base the dynamic models?
No I didn't , but I know that a model can be built from first principles. Parameters like specific pump curves and pipe line and valve characteristics can be arbitrary chosen in this stage (the end application is domestic water pump that is used to boost the feed water's pressure to make it deliverable to high elevation floors)
From the electrical point of view, the simulation is seeking the reflection of the three events on the electrical motor states (current, torque, rotational speed and slip when the motor and the pump's shafts are coupled
