In my thesis, I am examining the effect social media, Facebook in particular, has on forming public opinion in the concrete example and context of the "refugee crisis". I would like to know if such research has already been carried out; whether a questionnaire on the subject has been realized; and I am particularly interested in ways of analyzing data (sentiment analysis or other) from social media sites, such as comments, for someone with no developer's background.
