Dear colleagues,

I'm interested in mycorrhizal associations of a bog orchid Hammarbya paludosa for this plant has some unique biological traits. The information on its mycorrhizal state is scarce but probably I've missed some important research data. Being a bog plant Hammarbya colonizes biotopes not suitable for the majority of fungi but its rather rudimentary root system looks like more adopted for fungal colonization than to nutrient absorption by itself.

Recently my colleagues detected  the presence of some mycorrhizal fungi and fungi of unclear ecological status fungi in the plants` root system: Ceratobasidium cornigerum, Tulasnella sp., Meliniomyces sp. and Varicosporium elodeae.

Your additions and comments are greatly appreciated,

With thankfullness for any references or ideas,

Elena
