I am studying place attachment. Place attachment is usually examined by looking at place and the emotional connection individuals have with place. However, I am interested in learning about how individual's involvement in an organization may reinforce or develop an idea of place attachment in individuals. Any ideas on where to look to for organization theory that speaks to why people join organizations? and how involvement in organizations may influence one's world view?
