Any expertise on confocal fluorescence microscopy on RBCs?

Hi, does anyone have any experience with confocal fluorescence microscopy analysis with suspended cells? I’m supposed to study some of the proteins in the erythrocytes, but I can’t find any recurring protocols for fixing RBCs.
