Does anyone know of an efficient way to selectively stain (immunofluorescence) the soma of excitatory cells?

Please do not suggest aCamkII - I tried it, it works... kind of... not really good signal-to-noise ratio. I am looking for something that gives a signal similar to GAD67 immunofluorescence.
