We would like to monitor ROS production, specifically H2O2, using fluorescent indicators. Does anyone have good experience in live imaging of the Amplex red dye? How specific is it really? I'd be happy to hear your opinions!
We detected ROS in fresh transverse sections of unfixed heart incubated with Dihydroethidium and in isolated cardiomyocytes, using 2 ´, 7 ´-Dichlorofluorescein diacetate (DCF).
