Hello, I am wondering if anyone has any journal papers that outline extraction, purification and characterization techniques that could be done by an advanced undergraduate laboratory class in 3-4 lab periods? I have a couple; extraction of myoglobin from ground beef, extraction of phycocyanin from spirulina, HRP from horseradish peroxidase and lysozyme from egg white. Are there any others? I would like to be able to offer 6-10 papers for students to choose from for independent projects in which they must replicate the work of the paper, but only have 3 (others are incorporated into previous classes.
