Any alternative analysis to Non-metric Multi-Dimensional Scaling (NMDS) to decipher sp. abundance and environmental variables influence/relationships?

I wanted to understand the influence/relationship between microbial taxa abundance and environmental parameters (nearly 20) through Non-metric Multi-Dimensional Scaling (NMDS), but, after running ordination, stress comes nearly zero since I have only four samples.

Is there any alternative method which I can use with less sample numbers?
