I am wanting to do a study on the identification and treatment of children with anxiety disorders in the school setting. What is the best type of method to use? I was considering the case study, as the sample will be 10 children. Is there a more suitable method to use?
If the same size is 10. You may choose any qualitative method depending on your research questions.
In my view, you can use semi structured interview individually. Then you can use focus group study to enrich your study.
I had very few children with hemophilia (and 1 died during the research) and used two healthy class mates per child, the one preceding and the one succeeding in alphabetic order, thus making up a control group twice as big as the experimental group. You can use non-parametric method in quantitative research. I had only 10 CCD children:

Abstract
Kvist, S. B. M. 1988. School Absences and School Achievements in Children with Congenital Coagulation Disorders. Scandinavian Journal of Educational Research 32, 73‐76. Ten children suffering from congenital coagulation disorders (CCD) ‐haemophilia A and B and von Willebrand's disease – were compared with normal, healthy schoolmates with reference to scholastic achievement and school absences. The results indicated that in spite of a greater number of absences the CCD children succeeded very satisfactorily in school. Problems related to need for attention, exclusion from certain school activities, and self‐provoked school absences were discussed.

A meaning-centered orientation is preferable to previously constructed questionnaires or scales. A meaning-centered orientation is accessible via carefully examined case study of the child. One needs to find out how the child became anxious, and what triggers anxiety, and how this anxiety is not serving him or her in the right direction. A child's desire is free from anxiety. Anxiety is acquired by life events and the therapist needs to help the child how he became anxious, and how to deal with it.
I would use quality method because the sample is small. Also school setting turn out to be good for group interview. I would focus on social fobia because its beginning with school contects so I can see the progress of the social fobia from the start and how it develops. If you choose quantitative metod u can use Bek BAI test which is the best. Its not longer 20 items.
