While I am studying the principle of rapif test kit of syphilis (immunochromatography), I've found the target specimen is only limited to blood (WB, plasma, serum)...
Is that because anti-treponema pallidum Ig are only found in the blood?
Now I am curious whether there are anti-treponema pallidum IgA in the sweat, so it is possible to test syphilis using sweat.
