Hi;

I have tried to simulate an engine port cold flow analysis using Ansys Forte. I have completed the 3D model. I only had the valve timings and maximum lifts so I had to write the valve-lift tables down by myself. Also I did not have the drawings for the valves so I tried the design the valves without any reliable data.

I have checked the valve seating in Forte before I ran the simulation.

The simulation was ran from -390°CA to 50° CA which includes the a little bit of time before the opening process of the intake valve, the entire intake stroke, the entire compression stroke and 50° CA after the compression stroke.

In results, I have realized that the in-cylinder pressures started to decrease 40° CA before the piston reached the TDC in compression stroke and pressures were really low before decreasing(2-2,5 bar). Also total in-cylinder mass was decreasing throughout the compression stroke which led me to thinkig that there is an opening inside the chamber somewhere.

Can anyone please help me with this issue?

Thanks in advance.
