Pimpinella anisum or Anise - also called aniseed , is a flowering plant in the family Apiaceae native to the eastern Mediterranean region and Southwest Asia.
Opinions from pharmacy said that this plant contains Oseltamivir which is the main material of Tamiflu drug that is an effective drug against Influenza as H1N1.

Oseltamivir is anti neuraminidase, and SARS-CoV-2 hasn't neuraminidase, so how could be efficient?

As per my observation till now, one thing I found common in COVID-19 patients is their immunity level. Still, we don't know is there any relationship between anise or other medicinal herbs/plant for the full treatment of the virus. But what we know till now is that if we have strong immunity then we are able to recover from deadly patients. So, at this time the need of the hour is to improve the immunity of the patients until treatment is found.
Whereas Anise is well known as a carminative and an expectorant. Its ability to decrease bloating and settle the digestive tract still is used today, especially in pediatrics. In high doses, it is used as an antispasmodic and an antiseptic and for the treatment of cough, asthma, and bronchitis.
Oseltamivir is in a class of medications called neuraminidase inhibitors. It works by stopping the spread of the flu virus in the body. Oseltamivir helps shorten the time that flu symptoms such as a stuffy or runny nose, sore throat, cough, muscle or joint aches, tiredness, headache, fever, and chills last.
so for oseltamivir, I didn't find out any article suggesting that it is well effective against the COVID-19. We need to conduct a clinical trial on Corona Virus and wait for the results.
