A student of mine is gathering data on what people do when encountering a fire in the home. This data will then be analysed. There is much research on what happens when the fire occurs in a public building but little has been carried out on how people react differently when the fire occurs in their home. On a completely voluntary and anonymous basis, if anyone was involved in an accidental dwelling fire could you please help my student by filling in his survey? The questions are short as it is only a preliminary survey.

Thanks for your response. There are many data sets taken from work related or similar buildings. This work focuses on domestic fires. Further, we contend that models are driven by data input to them, if detailed research was not carried out in this area in the first place the models may be inaccurate. This is the first step in a larger piece of work evaluating peoples response after a fire.
