50 years ago, Karl Pribram found harmonies in EEG recordings but could not report his discovery.
Two members of his lab at the time reported that the early computer-aided analysis of 8-lead recordings overwhelmed the leading edge DEC 6 he employed.
Dr Pribram required a former music major working in the Stanford Brain Research Lab to transform the frequency records to music notations. Months later, the lab listened to a synthesizer-produced rendition.
All but Pribram were shocked to find a coherent "music" rendition.
