So-called 'healthy' pride seems to presupposes the awareness of shame, whereas dangerous or uncontrolled pride seems not to take shame into cognizance, leading us to suspect the importance of shame both in its presence as in its absence. Does this agree with your understanding of the matter?
There is a very big difference between an individual's definition of things and how one expresses it.
Pride. The first of all the sins that had been committed and recorded. However, it is common to many.
How should one know if the pride one carries is that of sin or one worthy of praise? Is it that of a mother's, a daughter's or a child's?
How does one define pride and how does one express it?
The fact is, that form of emotion is what's keeping us from being dead. Without it there will be no sense in fulfilling something. To many, it becomes their motivation. To some, a form of revenge.
But how can we say if the pride one possesses does not go beyond the boundaries of sin?
For one can arrogantly speak out one's thoughts and feelings, boast for the things that came his way, and take pride for the things that may come his way.
To exclaim one's triumph over failures and to proclaim one's success
Yet still, in the end, we feel little.
Just because one is not getting the right feedbacks from the sources he listens to, with the feeling that he is not being adequately regarded for the actions that one has rendered.
Now, to further complicate things. Is its foundation grounded on a woman's pride or on a man's vanity?
A clear boundary one can't miss... or is it the other way around.
Now what is it? Is it a virtue to be earned or a habit that can never be broken?
Once insecurity catches up on one's self esteem, the necessity to brag provides a quick relief. More so, for the one who felt that one had taken a step lower than the usual.
We had earlier focused on individuals but how about for those who hold the pride for the many? Was pride ever categorized or classifies in a more understandable manner?
Its natural one takes pride in the things that he do. It keeps one motivated.
By drawing security from one's sources, one has the ability to equip oneself and face the day ahead.
And from where do these sources come from? Is it inwards or outwards and going to which direction?
Is this a challenge to be conquered or a hurdle that one can't pass through?
Yet, everyone has to face it in one's own time, for in the end, this will be the story on how one had conquered oneself.
A question will just lead one to more questions until he finds himself with an answer.
