I have been dosing dissolved silica content in my samples by ICP. However, I often obtain more than 100% of silica extraction after treating the data ...

I wonder what would be more suitable for silica content measurements ? Or are there special conditions in which the samples should be prepared ? Should I be using titration with NaOH (even if I have a lot of Na in my samples) or I have to use blue molybdenum method ?

I reckon that my problems are linked to the fact that I have not only small molecules such as the monomer Si(OH)4 but oligomers as well.

Thank you for your help !

I am really struggling with the kinetics study I want to do as my results in silica are incoherent.
