Hi everyone,

Can someone explain to me whether i am following the right approach by doing the following: First i have denoised all Raman spectrum by using Daubechies wavelet (N=5) transform, and smoothed the remaining content of the spectrum via Savitzky-Golay filter ( using a polynomial function of 2nd degree, window width of = 5 points), then performed baseline correction and peak detection - all steps done using origin software. When i compare raman peaks originally detected (from raw data) with  peaks detected after baseline correction, they are completely different.  What would be the best approach to take? Can i  smooth my raw data, then comment on my results based on originally detected raman peaks,.. i mean from raw data? Please help,..
