Recently, an article of mine got accepted for publication in a hybrid journal. Our publication was a closed-access one. Thus, readers who are interested in reading the article would have to pay the journal to read the article.
If I upload the full text of this journal article to ResearchGate for the public to read, will this create any issues or be regarded as an infringement of the journal's copyrights for my publication?

Most probably you are not allowed to upload the final version of your article. You should read the instructions for authors of that journal. Some journals (but not all) allow to make "preprint" versions available to the public. Other journals make the articles open-access after some time, e.g. two or five years. Hi Mohamed, uploading the full text of your closed-access journal article to ResearchGate without permission is likely an infringement of the journal's copyrights. I recommend in order to avoid issues, check the journal's sharing policy, use permissible versions, or request permission from the publisher. Regards.
Another option is to upload your copy of the final version that was accepted -- before any copy editing was performed by the publisher. That essentially remains "your own work."

I'll consider uploading the final, accepted version before the publisher's copy editing. In addition, I'll try getting in touch with the editorial office correspondents via e-mail just to ensure my legal position is fine.
