Hope everyone is fine. CBMN assay involves Cytochalasin B which blocks cytokinesis by inhibiting actin filament formation which leads to micronuclei formation in the cytosol and Geimsa stains these micronuclei which can be visualized under the microscope. This assay is known as Fenech and Morley's block technique.In this technique cytocentrifuge is used to prepare the slides which may or maynot be available in the lab.
I would like to know if there is an alternate method for the same technique which can be used to visualize the micronuclei in the cytosol.

It is not necessary to use a cytocentrifuge. The cell suspension can be applied in drops, as in the preparation of metaphase chromosome preparations, or the suspension can be smeared on glass. In this case, imaging is performed by the researcher himself or on a motorized microscope with an appropriate program.
