I have performed Alpha -Cronbach test on a set of indicators. I understand that it should be above 0.6. But, I obtained a coefficient of 0.585. Do you think that will be acceptable whenever the paper is submitted for publication?
Many people prefer a value of .8 rather than .6, so something below .6 is indeed likely to be questioned. Have you examined "alpha if item deleted" as an option to find out if any one item is lowering your overall alpha?
