Airborne Electromagnetic (AEM) Surveys: Is it feasible to process the electromagnetic data from a hard rock terrain in order to assess the electrical resistivity?
Will the (evolving) fracture density, which is a function of aquifer stresses resulting from tectonic imbalances (at the larger scale) and physical- and chemical-weathering (on the smaller scale) NOT influence the way the electric currents are induced and in turn, the resultant electrical resistivity?
Since REV keeps increasing as the scale of the problem increases in a hard rock terrain, will the inversion (of resistivity data into resistivity sections as a function of depth) be meaningful?
