The impending conversion of education, from the centralised academy model to the cottage model, including home schooling via MOOC, leads to the notion that RG and other similar media (like Academia.edu) represent the future of the university. We will dispense with brick and mortar, save for research laboratories, and instead the university will be a community of scholars, and the place of each individual will increasingly represent a measure of the worth of associated intellectual product.
