I agree totally wit Dr. Sudeep. After a spent long time in front of my laptop, I feel that my mind is exhausted and my body is tired. I don't feel I don't want to communicate with others. I think I began to love this conditions as it isolate me farther away from the society problems.

Our present age runs with the electronic media moves with the computer ,mobile ,I pad ,tablet ,& right from school going children to office goers including the professional personnel ( of course whenever they get the time there are so to say a one kind of addiction in electronic forum .

In this line the word '' Digital Humans is quite appropriate in our present time .  For this after going thru this idea ,i just wish to recall my publication under the captioned '' Life without Internet '' with i herewith submit for your perusal & also for our valued readers . Needless to add that it may not be directed related to the question posed but it may offer certain views in this direction & for which i merely till by publication has for my personal opinion

This is the dark side of the moon. Balancing both the real world and digital world is becoming more and more important for any human being, with the rise of newer form of technologies in digital media.

After long time we spent in front of computers, Do we become a digital humans?

Think nowadays many of us are dependent on technologies.  After spending long hours in front of computers, we are also very engaged in smartphones e.g. whatsapp, checking / replying mails, schedule meetings, skype calls etc.  Finding the demarcation line between work life vs personal life is getting blurred and causing some of us difficult to achieve work-life balance.  Think to address this issue - we need commitment to allocate a fixed slot of quiet time everyday to disconnect from technologies, so that we can do other things e.g. exercise physically as well as for our eyes, relax, reading, social interaction with family etc.

The working of the human brain is different from that of digital machines. So, sitting long time in front of computers make us not a "digital human" but a computer-addicted human.

I recently underwent surgery for cataract and have not used the computer for a few weeks. Thus, I have found how I had overly been using the computer and the Internet.

Digital human wouldn't get tired but we do get tired and bored. Spending maximum time in front of screen has made us isolated physically; on otherhand we are getting connected to those who are far away and in same condition. 

It depends on the person itself since it has double using and the human can get maximum benefits like communicate with far persons

i agree with Dr .  Miqdam in his idea  .

 In 1980 I started using the computer to develop biomedical data analysis software. Then, from 1984 to 1992, I coordinated and developed my Institute's Calculation Center with a special focus on the design and development of data bases for the assessment and management of fishery resources. Of course, data processing, data analysis and reporting, technical reports and scientific writing has always been constituted my primary activity at the computer. However, with Archinet before and after the Internet the fun activity, the communication between colleagues (I do not follow any kind of social networks except RG), access to every type of information has had and has more and more weight over the hours that I step in front of the computer. I usually step in front of the computer more than 5 hours a day also during the weekend and some time also during the holidays. I do not feel intoxicated by computers or obsessed with the lack of computers. I hate the internet on the cellphone (use my cell phone only for work or private calls, I do not read/write SMS). So, I use only and exclusively desktop computers at my usually working place or at my home. E-mail is, in my opinion, the less stressful and invasive communication. Because, you can read the e-mail whenever you want and you can answer whenever you want.

First of all let me say thank you so much for your kind comment and hope you long, happy, healthy life with and without computers. Really in your impressive post you are approximately describing me but starting from 1991 till now and also I just use RG and LinkedIn platform for communication with my colleague of course with help of my institutional email, at the same time we are (all) spending so long hours in front of computers for both formal and private tasks, so this makes me like machine-man or something similar. At the end I decided to strongly return to my family and myself.

I hope to strike the core idea in this post!?

Good question and I think it suits our state nowadays.  In fact , I sometimes feel obsessed by some applications of  my mobile phone or a computer but it all depends on the availability of the time. When there is an accumulation of duties I forget them for awhile then come back and begin again.

The basic needs of a human is same as two thousand years ago. Our changed methods and approaches to search information and communication have not changed our basic nature, but has dependent on machines and computers. Global people of today ignore local responsibilities and concerns.

This is first or second generation of humans which is familiar with computer, and many many are away from it. so this is not true that we r becoming the digital humans.

For sure yes we are digital human and we can't live without to be that because if you don't be digital you will waste more time in achieving your aims and you will be later than other. On the other hand, our being digital takes most of our time in somethings such as chatting on whatsap and following social media and so on but in most times you can't stop to be digital.
