If we extract the essential oil from a medicinal plant i.e., Ajwain seeds by hydro-distillation technique, it will yield about 2-3% essential oil. My question is about the remaining 97-98% portion of the ajwain seeds after extraction of essential oil. How we can utilize this major fraction in an efficient way?
Please guide me in this aspect.

My question is about the remaining fraction. Suppose I extracted the essential oil from fennel seeds which yield about 2%, what can I do with remaining 98% after drying?
Add it into the chicken's feed ration? I don't quite understand why you would bother distilling unless you want a higher quantity of oil than the chickens will otherwise eat of the seed.
While it won't work for seeds, a common use for spent material is to dry it to use as fuel for the next distillation.
