I'm looking to buy a cheap portable set-up to record surface Electromyography (EMG). Does anyone know if its possible to purchase a device that can record from two muscles for under approx. 500 dollars?
Ideally, the system should have some inbuilt motion tracking, output raw data easily to matlab and have some ability to record triggers from matlab/synchronize with Matlab.
There is a device called the Myo armband that uses Bluetooth LE to send sEMG and IMU data to external devices/hardware. The device has had bit of a shaky history in the last few years. First it was discontinued by the original company Thalmic Labs and then picked up by CTRL-labs in 2019. (I'm willing to bet there are still a few of the originals out there).

Hi,
I think for that budget it is difficult to find a complete set up of commercialize emg sensor, but you can check device from OT bioelectronica (https://www.otbioelettronica.it/en/). I have used one of their EMG system and it was far cheaper than delsys device.
However, if your budget was really tight then I think you can consider to use Myoware sensor (https://www.sparkfun.com/products/13723), it's very affordable EMG sensor, but you need to connect to your microprocessor/arduino board by yourself. The raw data also can be easily processed with Matlab.
