I'm doing a bioassay with sulfuric acid to be read in a spectrophotometer. Other than glass, are there less expensive options for 96 well plates that can handle sulfuric acid?
Only glass is likely not to be corroded. The glass-like option is Homopolymers Polypropylene well plates, but I don't find this option in the market.
However, you could try Polypropylene Microplates. They are resistant to most chemicals, including acids according to sales indications and are cheaper than glass plates.
