The 2nd World War was most damaging to Human race as all Wars are. Naively perhaps, but one may hope that global community of scholars, businessmen and politicians may find the methodology to preserve Peace on Earth. Peace is not a dream, it is a reality that Humanity hoped for and worked so hard for ages. History teaches us that Peace is very fragile and vulnerable entity and it takes lot of courage and wisdom to preserve it. Planet Earth is already facing challenges of Climate Change, Pollution, plus, and surely another War that may grow beyond any region in the World would be most damaging and destructive to well being of all mankind all over the world. Given the current volume of Nuclear Arsenal, War could have enormous damaging impact that may bring Human suffering for many years to come. Modern Scholars rarely talk about faith, hope, but rather about scientific experiments, scientific evidence and prove of Hypothesis. Many Scholars long time before us were people of faith and their scholastic works were side by side with Humanity and Arts. Perhaps this may be a good time for us all to seek wisdom of elders and work together not as competitors but as colleagues collaborators on strategies and methodologies how to preserve Peace on Earth not just today, but for ages to come, so that our children and future generations may grow with plenitude of healthy food, clean air, wonderful four seasons and most of all World Peace.
Scientists belong to the elites of their country. They can raise the voice, but often their role is to belong to the political opposition; and different scientists can have different views in a multifold society. It depends on getting experience.
Agree, indeed often the best minds are not heard and they wisdom is somewhat put aside, which is most unfortunate. As scholars were are like farmers who gently plant the seed of wisdom and humanity in the hearts of young people who may grow the seed of wisdom and pass it on the future generation far beyond what we could possibly do today. One message of wisdom by one scholar, may not impact too many today, but having planted one seed in a fruitful soil of one heart, may transform the whole world tomorrow.
The reaction of RG-members indicates that this issue is not relevant or too speculative because effective measures don't be dependent on the fact that humans inclusive scientists have the deepest desire to live in freedom, safetiy and in peace.

agree, indeed it is in times of war that people dream and do everything for the end of it. As being young, one thing to live for ever, and then at older age one is grateful for peaceful sunny morning. Let us hope that our discussion is only philosophical and somewhat scholastic in its hypothesis.
