Hi, I was on my IC-1500. Probably my eluent was not fully degassed, so I turn it off. Next day when I again start working this message was appeared on screen '' pump motor lost control'' pump is not carrying eluent, where is the problem ? do it need to change the pump? or something else. Try to prime the pump again. It could be an air bubble in the pump head. This is the reason mobile phases are degassed prior to use.
If this does not work call the service engineer.

Before you give up try priming with 100% Methanol at 5 mL/minute. Does the pump even work? Do you hear it trying?
Most likely need to rebuild the pump. One of the valves is most likely sticking. Sonicating the valves in a solvent may help but I prefer to just toss the bad components.
It may be very obvious but have you tried shutting down the whole system, including the computer. Wait for 5-10 min and re-start the system followed by the computer. See if the error persists. Dionex's Chromeleon has an excellent audit log system. It will tell you the sequence of events. Calling service engineers right away is a costly business.
we have done that but did not help. It is pump malfunction, need to replace it, though it is costly.Thanks
I guess you choose local mode, have manually remove the check valves and treat them with ultrasonic cleaning, then put them back. If you didn't use your system for a while, check valves and piston can be dry and no flow will be. Both piston and check valves might have leaking problem, but you should see the back pressure and water flow. If the fuse for pump head is broken, then this might happen also. I saw this in Waters HPLC system, but not Dionex IC system yet. Good luck!
