About how long should it take to learn LAMP primer design if I have no experience in primer design but have worked with LAMP and PCR before?

Trying to get a timeline for a planned project, but can't find great information online and don't have someone on hand to ask. If anyone has good resources for beginning LAMP primer design online please let me know. Thanks!

Hi Corey,

You can use published LAMP primers if available in the literature for your template of interest, else you can use the online primer designing tool available at:

You can also develop PSR assay for your template, primer designing for which is very much easier than LAMP. Reaction setup and reagents are same as LAMP. It works as nice as LAMP. The biggest advantage is that you can convert your existing PCR primers into PSR primers just by adding the N and Nr sequences. See the original PSR paper:
