Dear friends,
I am doing a dynamic analysis (crash) in Abaqus and ran the simulation and got the result. The total visualization (animation of all steps) of the deforming model seems well.
However, I wonder if it is correct or not. Because when I see the deformed shape in different time steps, it is disappeared in some steps and gives me the message “The selected variable is not available for the current step.”! Furthermore, I need the data for all the steps not just some.

“The selected variable is not available for the current step.”
means that you have timesteps for which you requested some output, but not of the variable under consideration or that you have a step where the variable is simply not meaningful (like displacement in a pure heat transfer analysis).
Check your output requests.
