Excessive distortion can be resulted by several reasons, including contact problem, abrupt change in stiffness due to large increment size, large mesh size, insufficient boundary conditions, or material instability. You may want to change these parameters and re run your model.

You have two sources of nonlinearity in your model: nonlinear material and nonlinearity from contact. Try to specify all materials as linear elastic, without plasticity and see if the problem persists. If so, then the issue may come from the contact formulation.

You can try the following points

1- properly assign the master and slave in contact pair definitions.

2-refine the mesh at the contact and loading points.

3- make sure that the boundary condition and loading amplitude as well as the material properties are properly defined.

4- it is preferable to use displacement control instead of load control

5- try using general contact

Since all errors occur on the first increment, there may be something wrong with how you apply loads or displacmeent boundary conditions or with the way you define contact (is there overclosure, perhaps?).
