I am performing a simulation of a cylindrical rubber tube under internal pressure. The maximum pressure that can be reached is -1 bar. At a pressure of -0.27 bar, self-contact occurs and continues to occur until the maximum pressure is reached.

When visualizing the CSTRESS, the contour shows maximum contact stress along a LINE at the middle of the surface where the contact takes place. The stress seems to be concentrated on a single line instead of around the surface.

Can someone please tell me the significance of CTRESS and what it represents in self-contact?
