I have a question about population balance modelling with the Inhomogeneos MUSIG model.
If you look at the equation 6 of the attached paper of the mentioned model developers, you can see that there is a source term that represents the transfer of gaseous phase momentum between different velocity groups due to bubble breakup and coalescence processes that causes bubbles of certain size to switch to a different velocity group.
By considering that each velocity group in this model is a separate phase, this term means that a bubble (or droplet) could leave a phase due to coalescence and breakup, but I cannot capture this phenomena neither in AnsysFLUENT nor in CFX softwares.
I would be grateful if you can share your experience on this issue with me.
