Hello,

I want to preserve some anaerobic bacterial isolates. Does anyone has a protocol for removing oxygen from glycerol? It is my understanding that one method is to leave the glycerol in an anaerobic chamber overnight, and I am curious if that fully removes oxygen from the glycerol?

I would also be interested to hear about the various methods people use, and especially if anyone have a protocol for deaerating glycerol quickly (rather than allowing it to happen overnight).

Thank you so much!
