, thanks for answering. The roots are quite big, I would avoid using the little ones as I need a good volume of sample and it would be very time consuming. I was wandering, at this point, about using sap displacing method from (Moreno and Garcia-Martinez, 1980) using 1-butanol but I think it is very challenging to apply on the field due to the corrosivity/toxicity of butanol.
