Has anyone discovered or at least found any articles documented that 3-indole-lactate or α-hydroxy-1H-indole-3-propanoic acid (C11H11NO3) has promising antimalarial properties or at least antiparasitic activities?
Indole derivates do have antiparasitic activities. We reported highly potent in vitro activity of some of these derivatives (tryptanthrins) a few years ago. However, these compounds may have solubility issues and therefore, bioavailability problems. Another concern may be toxicity. So please check the in vivo activity of your indole derivatives and also toxicity.
