Need advice to cut cross section of porous film on FTO for SEM. Sample came off when cut with glass cutter, no sample seen at edge of cut FTO. Help?

Cross section cut of porous sample /FTO scratch off sample from the edge of the FTO making it hard to check in SEM. Need help to cut it so the film stays on the edge of the cut.

Do I mix the binder into ultra-sonicated powder immediately or wait for 2-3 hours to settle then mix supernatant with binder, and then stir it ?

Plan to make a paste but confused if we should wait for the sonicated powder to settle first and add binder to only the supernatant, or do we just add binder to the ultrasonicated powder...
