I have got done XRD analysis of some saline soils, in which some peaks are marked with related minerals. But the expert was not able to analyze all as it was manual work of comparing with database. Can any body give me more insights.
Sachin, Any chance you have the data in a generic file format (txt)? I could help you in XPowder with my database unless you want to try it..XPowder allows over 100 analyses for free and you can download ICDD database. www.xpowder.com. This will match the patterns for you and is very simple to try.
thanks cindy, I am attaching previously uploaded data in TAB delimited and csv format. Plz check it out. Also I am trying to use xpowder. Will get back if succeed.
Can u plz check these files on ur system, as I literally do not have knowledge of XRD analysis. Also check the first questions, attachment, it contains the image of graph..
Unfortunately I do not have the MDI file, but as I read in manual of xpowder, that It can open image output graph. SO I opened bmp (bitmap) image attached (in foremost query) and software processed it. I chosen default parameters, I tried to analyze peaks, I gives error that "selected lower cutoff for intensity is too high",
Hi Sachin, Are you running an advance query for matching? If so, you will see the 'cut off' which is everythign below the blue cutoff line in the advance search criteria dialog. You can click under that blue line with your mouse to lower the cutoff. What it is doing (assuming I know where you get the error), is ignoring all peaks inside the blue area. There may not be enough peaks if that cutoff is too high.
